The federal government, through the Making Home Affordable Program, offers a nationwide loan modification program known as the Home Affordable Modification Program, or HAMP.  HAMP has undergone recent changes and you may now be eligible for a HAMP modification. If you're not eligible for HAMP, you may still be eligible under your lender's proprietary program. DPE doesn't do the loan modification.

Refinance your loan. 

Refinancing your loan can be a smart way to preserve homeownership and put more money into other things, like paying down debt, college or savings funds,  or toward your retirement. 

The federal government, through the Making Home Affordable Program, offers a nationwide loan refinance alternative known as the Home Affordable Refinance Program, or HARP. HARP has undergone recent changes and you may now be eligible for a HARP refinance. If you're not eligible for HARP, you may still be eligible under your lender's proprietary program or another lender's program. DPE doesn't perfrom the loan refinane.
